Conflict of Interest Policy

The Libyan Journal of Educational Research and E-Learning (LJERE) requires full transparency regarding potential conflicts of interest to maintain research integrity and impartiality.

1. Disclosure Requirements

All authors, reviewers, and editors must declare:

  • Financial ties (grants, fees, or ownership interests related to the research)

  • Institutional affiliations (current or recent collaborations with involved organizations)

  • Personal relationships (family, mentors, or competitors that could influence judgment)

  • Non-financial interests (political, religious, or ideological biases)

2. Submission Process

  • Authors: Complete the Conflict of Interest Form during manuscript submission

  • Reviewers/Editors: Disclose conflicts before accepting assignments

3. Management Procedures

  • Minor Conflicts: Published as a footnote in the article

  • Major Conflicts: May lead to recusal of reviewers/editors or manuscript rejection

  • Undisclosed Conflicts: Result in post-publication corrections or retractions

4. Examples of Reportable Conflicts

✅ Receiving funding from a company whose product is evaluated in the study
✅ Serving on the board of a competing organization
✅ Personal relationships with individuals mentioned in the research
