Publication ethics

The Libyan Journal of Educational Research and E-Learning (LJERE) adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process - authors, reviewers, and editors - are expected to comply with these ethical guidelines.

For Authors:

  • Research must be original and properly cited

  • Data fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism are unacceptable

  • Authorship must reflect actual contributions to the work

  • Conflicts of interest must be disclosed

  • Errors in published work must be reported promptly

For Reviewers:

  • Maintain confidentiality of the review process

  • Provide objective, constructive evaluations

  • Declare any conflicts of interest

  • Avoid using unpublished information for personal advantage

For Editors:

  • Make fair, unbiased editorial decisions

  • Maintain confidentiality of submissions

  • Disclose any conflicts of interest

  • Investigate ethical concerns thoroughly

Handling Ethical Violations:
The journal will investigate any suspected ethical misconduct, which may include:

  • Contacting the authors' institutions

  • Issuing corrections or retractions when warranted

  • Reporting to relevant authorities in severe cases

  • Imposing submission bans for serious violations

LJERE follows COPE guidelines for addressing:

  • Authorship disputes

  • Plagiarism allegations

  • Data manipulation concerns

  • Duplicate publication

  • Peer review manipulation

Whistleblowing Process:
Concerns about ethical violations can be reported to Ljere.editor@gmail.com. All allegations will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly.

This policy applies to all stages of the publication process, from submission through post-publication. The editorial board reserves the right to take appropriate action in any case of ethical misconduct.
