Editorial Policy

1. Aims & Scope

The Libyan Journal of Educational Research and E-Learning (LJERE) welcomes high-quality research across all dimensions of education and digital learning, without restrictive boundaries. Our scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • E-learning and distance education

  • Educational Sciences and Digital Pedagogy

  • Curriculum development and teaching methodologies

  • Learning sciences and cognitive studies

  • Education policy and leadership

  • Emerging trends in Libyan and global education

2. Publication Ethics

We adhere to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. Key policies include:

  • Authorship: All listed authors must meet ICMJE criteria for substantial contributions

  • Plagiarism Screening: <20% similarity via Turnitin (exclusive of references)

  • Conflict of Interest: Must be declared at submission

  • Corrections/Retractions: Handled per COPE flowcharts

3. Peer Review Process

  • Type: Double-blind review

  • Timeline: First decision within 3-4 weeks

  • Reviewer Criteria: Minimum 2 independent experts per manuscript

  • Editorial Decision: Final acceptance rests with the Editor-in-Chief

4. Open Access & Copyright

  • License: CC BY 4.0 (Authors retain copyright)

  • Fees: No article processing charges (APC) during inaugural volume only

  • Archiving: PKP, Google Scholar, and other institutional repositories

5. Editorial Independence

  • Content Selection: Based solely on academic merit

  • Advertisements: Not permitted in any publication content

  • Funding: Disclosed for all research articles

6. Complaints & Appeals

  • Resolution: Editorial board review within 30 days

7. Preprint Policy

  • Permitted if disclosed during submission

  • Final version must differ significantly from preprint
