This study investigates the pronunciation difficulties faced by EFL students, focusing on consonants, vowels, word stress, sentence stress, intonation, and rhythm. It also examines the effect of limited exposure to English and lack of practice opportunities.
The study used the descriptive analytical method. A questionnaire was distributed to 120 students from the Faculty of Education, Qasr Bin Ghashir, and the data were analyzed using SPSS.
The results showed that students face clear pronunciation difficulties, with an overall mean score of 2.59. The most influential factors were the need for more effective pronunciation training and limited exposure to English. The findings also showed no significant differences according to gender, while significant differences appeared according to English proficiency level, as low-proficiency students faced greater difficulties. The study recommends giving more attention to pronunciation teaching and providing more practice opportunities
