Problems Facing the Management of Kindergartens: A Field Study from the Perspective of Kindergarten Principals

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the problems facing the kindergarten administration in the city of Benghazi, as well as verifying the presence of differences in the problems facing the kindergarten administration in the city of Benghazi from the point of view of its directors due to the variables of experience and academic qualification.

The study used the descriptive approach, and its tool was the questionnaire that was designed based on previous studies and theoretical literature. The questionnaire was applied to a simple random sample of (8) female principals out of (13) female kindergarten principals in the city of Benghazi. The study resulted in the following results:

Kindergarten directors face a set of administrative problems, the most important of which are problems related to dealings with the kindergarten administration, then problems related to the kindergarten environment, followed by problems related to kindergarten teachers, then related to planning, and finally problems related to organization.

The study found a set of treatment methods, including providing specialists in the field of kindergartens and assigning them the tasks of dealing with this difficult and demanding segment.

Supporting government kindergartens financially, technically, and financially: This is achieved by providing the kindergarten infrastructure and maintaining maintainable and modernized buildings. Providing a suitable and reliable curriculum for children, in addition to physical activity within the kindergarten. The kindergarten is managed by scientifically qualified people specializing in kindergarten management, and training courses are conducted on how to deal with children and solve quick daily problems.

- There are no statistically significant differences between the responses of study members regarding the administrative problems faced by kindergarten principals due to the variable (experience and academic qualification).
