Abstract

A study was conducted on the role of information technology in improving the job performance of technical education using a questionnaire consisting of demographic data from respondents, axes related to hardware components, software, communication, and staff skills. This research concluded that the arithmetic mean for all axes was (4.1124), with a degree of agreement at a very high level of significance. The highest level of agreement was for hardware components (4.297), followed by software (4.151), communication (4.048), and staff skills (3.954), then the ranking. This indicates that respondents are aware of the importance of providing general foundations for the job performance of technological education. This may be consistent with the demographic characteristics, as (40%) of the respondents were master's degree holders, (22%) were doctorate holders, and (30%) were bachelor's degree holders. Furthermore, the respondents' period of service was the highest (15-20) years, while the lowest (35%). Therefore, it can be said that the study axes indicated the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis with a very high statistical significance (0.001) for all axes, and that the statistical correlation coefficient was significant. At a significance level of 0.008, the results can be accepted and generalized due to the strong statistical correlation and high level of significance.

Information technology plays a significant and fundamental role in contributing to the success or failure of any endeavor. It plays a significant role in building educational institutions, whether private or public, academic or technical. Indeed, it has become a necessity to keep pace with the progress occurring in all fields through this distinguished technology. Therefore, most established institutions, both academic and technical, have come to rely on electronic data processing systems
